The 1966 Harley Sportster XLCH for Sale is an old school, chopped, 900cc 1966 Harley Davidson Sportster XLCH that would make a great project motorcycle for the right person.

The old Sportster belonged to a friend originally purchased it as a basket case restoration project. He restored completely with the only problem at the time was a little smoke from the motor. He left it sitting in the garage for over a year and then decided to install an electric starter and ended up taking the top half of the motor apart to replace the rain, jugs, and Pistons. Sadly, he got sick and was unable to complete the repairs. I bought the bike just before he passed away with the intention of finding someone help me reassemble the top part of the motor since I'm not a motorcycle mechanic and don't have the tools or skills that would be necessary to complete the job.

I had always wanted to own a Harley and thought that this would be the perfect opportunity since there was so little left to be done before it could be ridden and enjoyed but then I found out that I had a life-threatening illness leaving me with little time, money or energy to work on the old Sportster or seek the help that I needed.


I would like to sell it to somebody that can finish it up and bring it to the condition that it deserves rather than to just watch it sitting in my house for in a determined length of time. The motorcycle's frame was chopped, old-school style in the late 1970s.

The motor is a 900cc.
