THE HISTORY of the 750 HONDAMATIC MOTORCYCLEFor you motorcycle trivia buffs, here's a few tidbits pertaining to the history of the 750 Hondamatic motorcycle. The (Honda) Hondamatic CB750A is a type of
Honda motorcycle that has no clutch, but does have a wet sump, a parking brake and a torque converter. The motorcycle's transmission requires that one of two gears must be selected by the rider. But the torque converter eliminates the need for a clutch.
This model was manufactured by Honda from years 1976 to 1978.
The Hondamatic for sale that you see in the above pictures is from the first year that it hit the market in 1976. This bike was marketed to people just learning to ride or individuals who felt that their riding skills were not up to owning a full fledged motorcycle or college kids that needed a fuel efficient bike that would overcome crowded parking conditions on their college's campus.
