1979 HARLEY DAVIDSON LOWRIDER MOTORCYCLE for SALE

1979 Harley Davidson Lowrider Motorcycle

1979 Harley Davidson Lowrider Motorcycle

The vintage 1979 Harley Davidson Lowrider for sale has an 80 cubic inch numbers matching Shovelhead engine. The rebuilt engine has only 1200 miles on it and it has a new top end, valve train and rebuilt transmission.

The 1979 Low Rider's silver paint with black inlay is all original. The bike has been carefully garage kept keeping it in excellent condition especially considering its age. This is an excellent motorcycle that runs very strong and is very dependable AND a little piece of Harley history.

Specs and Facts on the 1979 Harley Davidson Lowrider

The Harley Lowrider was introduced at Florida's Daytona Bike Week. Called the FXS, it was Harley's first "factory customs" models, many of which were so popular with Harley lovers that they are highly coveted among Harley collectors and aficionados. In addition to the bike's low seat height, that first model Harley LowRider included raised white letter tires, drag bars, mag wheels, and the ever popular and often duplicated two-into-one slash-cut exhaust. Coupled with shorter rear shocks and 1" longer forks, the 1979 Harley Davidson Lowrider was huge hit with bikers everywhere and inspired Willie G. and his gang to churn out more custom models. This is a trend that continues to this day and is one of the many reasons that Harleys are still one of the biker community's favorite motorcycles.

To view or make an offer to buy the vintage Harley, e-mail me using the space below that has been provided by Strike Lightning Harleys for Sale (and PLEASE do not neglect to include your contact information in your email or to provide a phone number or email address!) so that I can respond with answers to your questions or after consideration of your best offer as quickly as possible.

You won't find a nicer vintage Low Rider with all original paint for sale on Craigslist or in an Ebay auction so hurry and make an offer before it gets away from you!

Strike Lightning would also encourage bikers to submit a review of the 1979 HARLEY DAVIDSON LOWRIDER MOTORCYCLE for SALE to make the biker community aware of any problems that are commonly associated with the old Low Rider or to highlight its positive features and help potential buyers make informed decisions.

My asking price for this excellent (as you can see from the pictures) vintage Harley Davidson Lowrider motorcycle is a low $8500.00.

First new Harley
by: J.W.

I can't say enough, I bought my first Harley back in January 1979, it was a 1979 Harley Low Rider and exactly like yours except the one I bought was one of the last 74 cubic inch engines. That motorcycle is one sweet ride ! If only I had the $$$ laying around I would take it off your hands :-)
