Correct me if I'm wrong. But I believe that this is a very rare bike as it was only manufactured for one year. If it's the bike I'm thinking about, it has a reputation of being a very reliable bike and it's just on the edge of being in the vintage Honda category.
And that cheap asking price sure is tempting!

While the CM400 series was made for a few years. The CM400 -CUSTOM- was only made in 1981. Like the previous poster stated, they are extremely rare to find unmodified.

The CM400 CUSTOM was only made in 1981. The difference was dual carbs and a tachometer on this model. Most of these bikes are quickly either parted out or turned into bobbers. They are very rare to find unmodified.

Honda made CM400 and CM450 for several years and also a cm250 model, there are plenty of them available both manual and automatic transmission....I have 3 myself and a 78 Honda 400 hawk automatic....just wanted to let you know

This is definately a good and reliable bike. I bought 1981 Honda CM400 Custom recently and I just love it. I paid 1500 for mine and it's well worth it. If I lived close I would definately jump on this and own two.
