 THIS SPRING I HAD THE MOTORCYCLE SEAT REPADDED AND REUPHOLSTERED WITH A NEW FOAM CUSHION FOR THE NEW OWNER'S RIDING COMFORT ON LONG TRIPS.

I HAVE CHANGED THE OIL EVERY 1500 MILES AND THE 1986 GOLDWING GL1200 ASPENCADE RUNS GREAT. IT WAS JUST INSPECTED IN AUGUST 2010 AND THE TIMING BELT AND STATOR WERE REPLACED ABOUT 12,000 MILES AGO. PLUS, I INSTALLED NEW DRIVING LIGHTS IN THE FRONT.

I've been riding mine since 2008. This is one fine bike which has never failed me. I have had the stator replaced at around 150,000 other than that its a perfect bike.

1986 GL1200 Interstate with 150,000 miles. Speedometer quit last trip going down the interstate. I've read numerous "what it could be". I need to know what would make it quit, period. Cable? Sensor? Parts available and where? Can I do it myself?
