When the 1988 Honda Goldwing GL 1500 was launched it was a big deal since it was considered to be the most complex motorcycle of its time only to be surpassed by the Gold Wing GL1800. If there is anything to say about this it would be that only another Goldwing could show it up, right?



The 1988 Goldwing offered comfortable seating, a radio and cassette player with a four speaker stereo system and easy to use controls that even bikers wearing heavy leather riding gloves could manage.


The adjustable windscreen was adjustable to accommodate both short and taller riders and there was a convenint electronic cruise control and that reverse gear that has made so many Harley lovers chuckle…but even they have to admit that when you’re bike is fully loaded and parked on an incline that the reverse gear comes in handy. No more telling your passenger to hop off and PUSH! And speaking of passengers, passenger boards are standard on the 1988 and there are plenty of extras available to add on.
