When I bought it I purchased an extended warranty that will come with the bike which is transferable to the new owner. The motorcycle is covered with a 1 year warranty and the extended warranty is 4 years bringing the total length of coverage from the Yamaha motorcycle company to 5 full years.


I bought the bike on Oct.24,2010 so the warranty will be enforced until Oct. 24,2015. There is no deductible on the warranty and all labor, repairs and parts are fully covered.


The Vstar has plenty of power and torque, 77 horsepower and 82 ft/lbs of torque and rides very smoothly.
