Benefit Motorcycle Ride for Loreen Wickens

We invite you to attend the Benefit Motorcycle Ride in Ionia Michigan that is being held for Loreen Wickens. Loreen was diagnosed in September with cancer. This fine lady is a representative for Thunder Roads magazine and is often seen in our area covering various motorcycle rallies and biker events.

Loreen comes from the Charlotte area and currently lives in Lake Odessa. Unfortunately as with so many people, Loreen does not have any health insurance. She will be taking her treatments to fight this disease at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. At this time the plan is to undergo a 3 month course of treatment and will be taking chemotherapy every week.

On October 24, 2009 Daryl Brodbeck will officially kick off the Benefit Motorcycle Ride for Loreen Wickens at Corner Landing (located at the Corner of Grand River and M-66) at 11:00 am.

Come one and come all! Vehicles of all kinds are welcome to participate and the more the merrier!

This is a timeline of the event:
• At 11:30 in the morning (11:30 am) participants will depart from the Corner Landing Restaurant located at 128 W. Grand River Avenue in Ionia, MI 48846
• At 12:15 pm bikers will arrive at CB’s bar located at 200 State St., Charlotte, MI 48813
• At 1:30 pm bikers will leave CB’s bar
• At 2:00 pm: Bikers should arrive at Maple Leaf Inn located at 298 W. Main Street, Vermontville, MI 49096
•At 2:30 pm motorcycle games will begin
•Between 3:00 – 4:00 pm the will be a benefit lunch where participants of the Benefit Motorcycle Ride for Loreen Wickens can make donations and eat a meal.
•At 4:15 pm there will be a benefit auction
•After the conclusion of the benefit auction there will be a 50/50 drawing.
Participants will be offered the chance to purchase 50/50 tickets at each stop on the ride. Tickets will be 2 tickets for $1 or 12 tickets for $5
•Karaoke

Anybody who knows Loreen is aware that Halloween is her favorite holiday, so we will be doing a Halloween theme in her honor giving our friends an opportunity to dress up a week early!
