Charity Motorcycle Run in New Jersey
by Aimee
(Kinnelon, NJ)
This charity motorcycle run in New Jersey (NJ) is for the benefit of the Negrini Family of Riverdale who on February 10th, 2009 suffered a horrific fire which claimed all of their possessions including their home and the lives of nine of their eleven beloved family pets.
After being rescued by the brave firemen of the Riverdale Fire Department it was discovered that Judge, their pit bulldog, had third-degree burns covering over 40 percent of his body. Judge will require extensive skin grafting procedures in order to be completely healed. This brave dog has suffered his injuries and subsequent painful treatments to remove the damaged skin without exhibiting a change in his loving temperament. He still loves to be given treats, give paw and snuggle up with his family proving that he has an indomitable will to live. His family is committed to helping him to the finish line on his journey to a full recovery but could use a little help to shoulder the financial burdens associated with rebuilding their lives and their pets' medical needs.
This Charity Motorcycle run is being organized for the purpose of raising funds to help cover Judges medical expenses. If the run is so successful that funds are raised in excess of Judge's medical bills, those extra funds will be divided between the Riverdale Fire Department and another charity that is a pit bull rescue group.
The charity motorcycle ride will take place on Saturday, August 29, 2009. In case of rain the alternative date will be on Sunday, August 30, 2009.
The ride leaves from and ends at Kosco Harley Davidson, 1149 State Rt 23 South, Kinnelon, NJ 07405.
