Dear Bob,

I have a boat tail with seat, tail light and wiring and original bobbed steel fender in very good condition. The seat is in fair to good condition, is pulled lose from seat frame in rear. Can probably be fixed with adhesivives or just reapolstered. Was taken off 1970 XLH in 1970 and stored ever since. I will take $650 for the pieces and you are responsible for paying for the shipping.

I just saw a 1970-1971 Harley Davidson Sportster Boat Tail Fender for Sale on the Chicago IL CL.

The classified ad says that it's a rare, hard to find fender that came on the 1970 and 1971 Sportsters.

It's not an FX fender and everything is there except the seat and that the stock reflectors are still in place!

The part number for Sportster Fender is 52095-70 it still has the green factory paint color.

The guy is asking $600.00 or you can make a reasonable offer.

He's located near Route 176 and Route 12 in the Island Lake/Fox Lake region but he says that if
it's small enough or new old stock in a box, that he may be able to ship it to you. You would need to get a Money order (only) for the actual shipping, delivery confirmation and a $5.00 gratuity charge to cover packing costs.
