Harley Chopper Basket Case - LOTS of Parts
by IA
The Harley chopper basket case would give a fabricator a nice head start towards building a motorcycle. This project is unique and it is priced to sell. I would finish doing it myself, but have neither the time nor the money to complete the project so here you are.
It was originally mocked-up professionally by a chopper business in Des Moines where I used to work. The owner of the shop built it as a personal side project and I bought the build before I left the business.
At one point, it was completely mocked up (dummy engine, transnission, etc.) and then he realized the seat area was too short from the front to back for a grown man to comfortably ride which meant it would need to be disassembled, and the frame lengthened in the seat section and that is the stage where it has remained up until now.
The motorcycle's frame has been cut at the seat section and would need to be re-welded to whatever length you need. The frame features all square tubing so you wouldn't need a jig, just a large flat area to clamp and the proper blocking.
The frame has a single-sided rear arm and the backbone is a NON-working)12-gauge Mossberg pump action shotgun. I had started to reinforce the gun to support the weight but it could be done away with altogether if you prefer.

The engine and the transmission mounts were made for a
Harley Panhead, and all vital positions are intact including the neck position (the cut is made behind rear transmission mount).
I have the complete rear wheel setup (internal bearing 18" American Racing rear wheel, 300 rear tire, no front wheel included), fuel tank, oil tank, battery box, Panhead carb and custom exhaust pipes, rear fender, seat, taillight/license plate bracket, bars/risers, complete finished narrow springer front end and many other miscellaneous new and
used Harley parts.
