Some of the better known high end manufacturers would be Corbin or Mustang. Either of these company's products are easily found and can be purchased through various authorized dealers either online or through catalogue sales. You may already have one of these seats that you've got broken in just like you want it. If the upholstery is looking kind of tired, don't despair...recover it! Take it to a custom upholstery shop and choose something eye-catching and cool! There's not a thing wrong with standard black leather, especially if it's dressed up with an embossed design, conchos or fringe. But break away from the pack and get something BOLD! I've seen some Harley Davidson seats, matching saddlebags and biker's boots all made out of ostrich or alligator that started me counting my nickels and dimes. I can only imagine what that outfit set him back! Speaking of nickels, I saw another guy that had used Buffalo nickels in the same way many Harley Davidson motorcycle seats display your run of the mill studs. Pretty sharp! I wondered if I could come up with enough Indian Head coins to do something for myself. Copper pennies and black leather might look pretty cool, I'll have to see. There are ways to get a custom look even if you can't afford to have an entire seat sewn out of exotic skins. For instance, if you have an innovative leather crafter that would work with you on design, you could use your exotics as inlays. This would give a customized look without the expense of a large amount of exotic leather. Coloring your leathers with dyes is another way to have a one of a kind seat. There's no need to make any snap decisions about what kind of Harley Davidson seats you would ultimately like to have as soon as your ride is delivered. Take your time, try out a few of your friends' seats for size or shop the classifieds for some used Harley Davidson seats. Make sure that when you decide on which seat to build that it is completely suited to your individual tastes, likes and use.
