(Mooseheart, Illinois)
The next Mooseheart Bike Blessing and Motorcycle Run Event in Illinois (IL) is set for Saturday, May 16, 2009 so save the date, mark it on your calendar and make plans to attend.
On site registration for this Illinois motorcycle event starts bright and early at 8:00 am. The event for 2009 will include a Bike Blessing at Mooseheart’s magnificent House Of God. Funds from this event will be used to offer support to the Special Olympics in addition to Mooseheart Child City and School.
Activities include an escorted scenic country destination motorcycle ride, a (Hawg?) Hog Roast will be hosted by Zylstra Harley-Davidson of Saint Charles, IL. There will also be top drawer entertainment, raffles, vendors and plenty of fun for all!
Another huge bonus is the chance to meet our guest of honor, Jean Davidson. For those who don't know, Jean Davidson is the granddaughter of Walter Davidson the first president of Harley-Davidson. She is an author, historian, educator and a descendant of one of the greats in motorcycle history. To have met her is to have something to tell your grandkids!
Jean is also the founder of the Davidson Yell and Tell Foundation, which distributes educational safety materials to young children in schools and community centers. She is a great lady with a legacy and she is living a purpose filled life to which the rest of us can only aspire. The possibility of meeting her in person is just one more reason to attend the Mooseheart Bike Blessing and Motorcycle Run.
The event takes place at 155 S. International Dr. Mooseheart, IL 60539
