CHEAP USED MOPEDS FOR SALE HONDA MOPEDS and SCOOTERS MOPED PARTS
As gas prices creep up, I see fewer Mopeds for sale by owner. There was the time when everybody had mopeds and scooters gathering dust in a remote corner of their shop that you could buy for less than a 100 but NO MORE! Bikers are taking the time to repair them, get them cranked and turn them over to the college kids to save some money or selling them online to eager shoppers searching for vintage mopeds for cheap money.
In lots of places, kids use them to get to school because you can get a license to drive a moped before you can get a drivers' license for a regular motorcycles or a car. I'm not sure I can get behind turning a kid loose in traffic on one but there you go...some government official maybe thinks it's a good idea.

I can remember back in the day when a real biker wouldn't be caught dead on one of these bikes but paper boys and the drug store delivery guys were always looking for cheap, used mopeds for sale. One reason is because they are both CHEAP to buy and to gas up!
WHAT IS A MOPED?
The name "Mopeds" came from the fact that they used to have pedals like a bicycle. They were a hell of a lot harder to push, but that's where the term originated if you're into the history of these little bikes.
GAS OR ELECTRIC MOPEDS
I see more used gas mopeds in classifieds than I do electric mopeds. Most of the gas models are old Honda Mopeds or bikes that have been converted. The new electric mopeds for sale that we've received in Strike Lightning's Motorcycle Classifieds are 500 Watts and look more like motor scooters to me. I suppose I'll always associate the name, moped, with a motorcycle that has pedals.
