THESE PICTURES WERE TAKEN AFTER MY MOTORCYCLE CRASH EASTER 2010. I HIT A CONCRETE MEDIUM AT ABOUT 45 MPH AND I WAS NOT WEARING A HELMET. MY BIKE WENT ABOUT 60 FEET AND I WENT ABOUT 50. I NOW CONSIDER EVERY DAY AS A GOOD DAY AND YES, I STILL RIDE EVEN AFTER THE WRECK!

I SPENT 5 DAYS IN THE TRAUMA UNIT AT THE HOSPITAL.

THE CAUSE OF THE WRECK WAS THAT I WAS PASSING A CAR IN AN AREA WHERE I SHOULDN'T HAVE. I HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME BUT MYSELF FOR THE WRECK AND THE INJURIES THAT RESULTED FROM IT.

YOU DON'T MENTION HOW YOUR BIKE CAME THROUGH THE WRECK...WERE YOU ABLE TO SALVAGE IT OR WAS IT COMPLETELY TOTALED? WHO WAS YOUR INSURANCE WITH AND HOW DID THEY TREAT YOU? I HAVE HEARD SOME HORROR STORIES ABOUT HOW SOME INSURANCE COMPANIES RIPPED PEOPLE OFF AND DIDN'T WANT TO PAY TO FIX THEIR MOTORCYCLES AFTER A WRECK AND IT HELPS TO KNOW WHICH MOTORCYCLE INSURANCE COMPANIES TREAT PEOPLE FAIRLY.

I don't know the statistics for survival after motorcycle crashes with head injuries like yours but from the pictures it seems to me that you beat the odds and are man enough to take responsibility.

Glad you made it and lived to ride another day.

Randal, I don't know you from adam there buddy but I have respect for your posting those pics to warn off these young punks riding their bikes like idiots wearing shorts and flip flops.
