If you bundle your motorcycle and automobile insurance coverage together you will find the rates to be more affordable and reasonable than when they are insured alone. I suppose the insurance underwriters figure you can only be operating one vehicle at a time, right?

I own an auto body repair shop so I’ve dealt with just about every company in the South. Everything is so automated that they are all pretty much the same as far as how they write and approach estimates on wrecks but when it comes to attitude, some stand out.

A lot depends on the adjuster you get but they are hired and trained by the motorcycle insurance company so I tend to spread the blame for a nasty attitude around. In my experience, the friendliest most eager to please insurance company in my area is Alfa. There is one stinker adjuster who I will not name but he may be gone by the time you read this. The next best is Farm Bureau who treats their customers very fairly but sadly their motorcycle insurance rates (last time I checked) are slightly more expensive than Alfa.

Would you believe me if I were to tell you that I hear the most complaints about some of the companies with the cheapest car and motorcycle insurance? Can you imagine that a company who advertises like crazy would treat their customers poorly and try to cheap out all the repairs? Well…..hmmmm….I wonder who is paying for all those commercials especially if they DO offer cheap motorcycle insurance rates. Another lesson worth learning is to check up on the company’s service especially if they have cheap rates.
