MOTORCYCLE TRAILER HITCHES

Before you start shopping for motorcycle trailer hitches, there is information that you should have on hand. For instance what is the hitch going to be attached to? What's it going to pull and so on. You see there are hitches that attach to motorcycles and there are hitches that attach to four wheeled vehicles that will be hauling motorcycles that are inside or loaded onto carriers. You can see how the term "motorcycle trailer hitch" can mean one thing to one person and a different thing entirely to another.
The former type of hitch is attached to parts of a motorcycle and then to a special kind of motorcycle trailer designed to be pulled by a bike rather than a car or truck. These hitches use the same hitch ball and mount design that is commonly found on pickup trucks.

RIDE YOUR BIKE - PULL YOUR TRAILER
You will find that most brands of motorcycles have their own line of hitches. This is a very good thing as it eliminates the worry of having to modify the equipment to fit each make and model. When shopping for your motorcycle tow hitches you should look for one that is manufactured for your exact make and model. Another thing that you may need to know is how much your motorcycle camper trailer weights and be sure that it is within the recommended weight limit of the motorcycle tow hitch that you have under consideration.

PULL YOUR MOTORCYCLE
The other type of equipment that was mentioned is designed to pull trailers loaded with the motorcycles themselves. You will find standard hitches on work trucks. These will pull your motorcycle trailer just fine no matter how far you need to travel and should haul as many as three bikes at a time.

If you have some good used motorcycle trailer hitches on hand, please consider posting them for sale in Strike Lightning's Used Motorcycles for Sale, Used Motorcycle Parts and Classifieds.
