I think that it is highly unlikely the NYPD used servi cars. I never saw one when I was on the job from 1962 to 1982.

I found out through HD archives about 9 years ago that it was delivered to former NYC Police Department in March of 1968.
I, myself, found it located within the Netherlands including the old paperwork from the state of Texas United States.

After investigation within the NYPD I got the message after being removed from service in the New York City police department that it was sold to a Police Department in Texas and from there it was sold abroad. And now after nine years of owning the servi car I have gotten it in as completely original condition as possible to a Harley Police servi car.
