FA 50's have a ONE SPEED CLUTCH NOT a TWO speed like the FZ & FS 50.

I have several Suzuki FA 50 mopeds. I enjoy riding them on my property, and I have found them to be very reliable except for the carburetors. More often than not they tend to leak gas or get out of adjustment easily. I have never quite understood how their Pet Cock Valves work. Perhaps this may be the root of my gas leak problem. I would appreciate any feedback in this regard. Three of my Suzukis are basket cases which I keep for parts availability. The other two are complete and are in good condition.

I wish they would still make them in Japan or in China so I could buy a couple of new ones. I do enjoy working on them as long as I can correct the problem at hand.

I have a pair of original banana yellow colored scooters with only 260 miles on each of them . They even have the original starting instruction and safety stickers on them from the factory. I have them for sale. if you want to check them out . you can see them there. comment to me on what you think

I have 3 of them 2 1984's and 1 1983 all of them are blue.. mine go between 28 mph and 31 on level ground.. Great little bikes..

The Fa50 never came with a 2 speed transmission. The FZ50 did. The top speed on the Fa50 is 22 miles and hour. I know this because I have a FA50.
