The 1999 Suzuki GSX600f Katana for Sale is all stock except for the rear dog bones that were replaced to lower the bike by 3". The front end is lowered (a little) also to make it level so that the front fender doesn't hit anything.

It's been ridden primarily by my wife and has 8800 miles on it.

DETAILS

The links have several holes in one end making it adjustable from stock to drop to 3" drop. I still have the original links that can be reinstalled in about an hour or I can just include them with the bike if you prefer.

The Suzuki for sale has been dropped once on each side and the left side is the worse of the two sides. The other time, right side was when she stopped to adjust the strap on her helmet and the bike leaned to far to one side and she couldn't fight it from falling with her hands off the handlebars.

There is also a scratch in the top of the fuel tank put in it by someone that was mad at the previous owner we were told (looks like the dent was made with a key). The scratch on the gas tank is not seen when the tank bag ($20 extra if you want it) is on it. The motorcycle also has a tank bra that will be included in the sale.

By the end of the summer last year, the piston rings and valve seals were replaced. After that the carbs were synced and the bike now runs perfectly. The rebuild was done because after sitting for a year it was burning oil excessively by the time my wife was ready to ride it again.

We replaced both since the burning could have been cause by worn rings or valve seals. The air filter, spark plugs, piston rings, valve seals, and all the gaskets needed to do the rebuild ( you can see there is no oil leaks around any of the gaskets in the picture of the close up of the scratch) are all new as of last summer.

Everything that was exposed and could be measured like cylinder diameter and roundness, valve trueness, and valve shimming were all made and were within specifications. There were hardly any wear marks on nearly anything like the cylinder walls or valves. Basically the engine looked brand new as I was told. It was indicated that the cause of motorcycle burning oil was due to the right side engine valve seals being dried out and cracked after not being ridden for a year.

The rear tire is nearly new and the front tire could be replaced. The motorcycle's chain is about halfway through its life span and the oil is new.

The 1999 Suzuki GSX600f Katana is for Sale because my wife just doesn't feel confident on this bike after the drop last year and wants to get something a bit smaller and easier for her to manage. I have my own motorcycle and don't need two.

I will need cash in my hand to approve any Test rides.
