it should have an e.f.i. system. the computer is designed to measure the limits of a stock pipe setup. when the high flow pipes are installed an aftermarket computer is installed that measures in the new range. overheating and a lean burning engine may accure if the stock computer is left in use.

didn't that bike have EFI dude?
If it did, there's no carb, and therefore no adjustment: ie: no jetting change.
If it does have a carb, then, yes, indeed sir, you will need to re-jet the carbs. Adjust for your elevation, change the pilot and idle jets. JD jet kit and a few beers shoudl get the job done and get rid of the icky little issue

How many miles are on the bike and what are you asking for it? Are the tires in decent shape? It looks like a nice bike. Are there any flaws or problems on the bike.

2007 Roadstar Silverado 1700 Exhaust Problem
by: Tom

Can anyone help me with my 2007 Roadstar Silverado 1700 Exhaust Problem? I have basically the same bike as the one in this classified with the same set of Vance and Hines exhaust pipes.

I was told by both a Yamaha motorcycle tech and the people at V&H that I would not need to change the jets in the carb.

Did you find this to be the case when you had your pipes installed?

If not, what modifications did you have to make? Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.
