Please make plans to join your friends at the 6th Annual Cpl. Kevin Clarke Memorial Motorcycle Ride to benefit The Heart of A Marine Foundation scheduled for Sunday September 9th, 2012 in Tinley Park IL.
Kevin, grew up in Tinley Park and was nearing the end of his second deployment just one month after his 21st birthday when he was killed by small arms fire in a firefight in western Al-Anbar province Iraq on February 19th, 2005.
This
Illinois motorcycle event is to honor Kevin and all those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The ride will run in conjunction with the Police department's annual Cops N Rodders Car Show.
Registration starts at 7:00am, at the Tinley Park American Legion Post 615, 17423 S. 67th Court. Kickstands up at 10:30am sharp.
Participants of the run will go to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery for a ceremony, then return to Post 615 for food, entertainment, raffles and a silent auction.
Registration fees are $20 for riders, $10 for passengers and car riders are welcome to take part.
There will be an optional pancake breakfast from 7-10AM hosted by the American Legion Riders for a $5.00 fee.
Anyone who cannot attend, that would like to make a donation to The Heart of A Marine Foundation can
send a check to: Heart of A Marine Foundation, PO Box 1732, Elk Grove Village IL, 60007 with a note in the memo field, Cpl. Kevin Clarke Memorial Run.
The Heart of A Marine Foundation's mission os to provide support, comfort, financial assistance, and educational resources to improve the quality of life of military personnel and veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces, veterans, and their families.
At last year's ride we had over 500 bikes in attendance and we are hoping to double that number this year.
