The custom 1984 Honda Shadow RAT Bobber for sale that we have here was a motorcycle project that I I built it with an eye towards old school methods, scrounging for parts using no billet, no chrome, etc. to see how it would come out. Now, everywhere I ride I people ask me about it. They are curious and want to know what kind of bike it is, tell me how cool it is and others say "That's a "real" motorcycle, etc.

Reno, NV has a big Harley riding community and lots of motorcycle events and yet this custom Honda pulls people to it, especially at those types of events.

Specs of the 1984 Honda Shadow 700 V twin:
It has been lowered 2.5 inches front and rear nad the rear shocks have been removed. I bolted on 1/2 in thick steel bars to make it a rigid.

It has a 6 speed transmission, a water cooled motor, custom exhaust and the carbs have been professionally rebuilt.

It has an electric start (the electric start is awesome, push the button, go!) and fuel pump, new tires (white wall front tire), a brown leather, solo sprung seat, a custom rear fender made from a trailer, custom bronze rear taillight and 12,500 miles on it currently.


If you know anything about Honda Shadows, well..this was the motorcycle that the Harley Davidson motorcycle company was scared of.

The stock horsepower for this is listed as 70bhp, with a weight of about 380 pounds which makes for an HP to weight ratio of 1 to 5.


Make the comparison to whatever kind of motorcycle you're riding and you can see why this will do 0-60 in about 4 seconds and hauls ASS!
It sounds and looks great PLUS you can't beat a used Honda motorcycle for dependability and value for your money.


The bobber for sale is a great bike for fun and there's not another custom motorcycle like it on the road.
