The 1977 Ducati Motorcycle basket case for sale is what is left of a nice 1977 Ducati 860 GT . The 1977 Ducati 860 GT is now going as a parts bike or a rebuild project bike. The 860GT's engine is partially disassembled.

The bike is basically complete.

• JD 12:1 forged pistons

• crank repressed and renewed by Syd's Cycles in 1998
• Conti exhaust system (with straight exhaust pipes, also)
• Chassis: frame powder coated fire engine red
• most of the aluminum components have been polished
• wheels re-spoked with stainless polished
• rims reconditioned
• custom built aluminum battery box
• stainless brake lines
• Smith's tachometer and speedometer in good condition
• 900ss fuel tank

The old Ducati will need a rear cylinder in order to rebuild.

I estimate the value of the used Ducati motorcycle parts alone to be over $7-8K.

An assembled and running stock bike is currently valued, according to the Kelly Motorcycle Blue Book, at around $6600.

The front fender and headlight have some minor damage but beyond that; this bike is in solid condition and would make a good restoration project for the right builder with very little to refurbish but the electrics and rear cylinder.

Or a parts marketer with web skills can cash in big time re-selling them.
