Ride for a Reason Motorcycle Poker Run in Davenport Florida

Join us for the annual Ride for a Reason Motorcycle Poker Run in Davenport Florida on April 2, 2011 to raise funds the benefit of Sunshine Foundation Dream Village, a nonprofit organization that answers the dreams of chronically ill, terminally ill and abused children.

Registration and check-in for this Florida motorcycle event begin at 10:00 a.m. at The Sunshine Foundation Dream Village located at 5400 CR 547 North, Davenport, FL.

Participants of the poker run are dismissed at 11:00 am. Riders will use the maps (that are provided) to locate all five stops included in the ride.

The last bike in must arrive at the final stop by 4:00 p.m.

Participants are invited to stay for the after party at the Shamrock Pub & Grille featuring a live band, raffles, BBQ meal specials and vendors.

Participants who take advantage of preregistration opportunities will receive an event T-shirt, continental breakfast and a complimentary lunch.

Early registration costs $15 for a single rider, $25 for a rider and a passenger where riders wo wait to register on the day of the event will pay $20 for a single rider, $30 for a rider and a passenger.

Additional poker hands cost $5 each and additional T-shirts may be purchased for $10. In addition to the prize awarded for best hand, participants are also eligible to enter for a chance to win door prizes and raffle drawings.


The deadline for pre-registration is March 18th.

"Camp Maddie" is part of a new youth program initiative of Compassionate Families.

The three-day residential camp will take place at the YMCA's Camp Immokalee in Clay County Florida and serves Northeast Florida Child Survivors of Homicide (ages 7 to 17).

Sessions are normally scheduled in mid May each year at Camp Immokalee, in concert with the First Coast YMCA. The primary goal of Camp Maddie is to provide these children with coping skills to better understand and deal with their grief. The camp staff includes mental health professionals who have experience and training that make them well equipped to deal with the children's grief and they will work with an array of trained volunteers.

in New Port Richey, Florida (FL)! This event's beginnings were the vision by then Mayor, Dan Tipton, and former City Manager Scott Miller. Their dream has sinced become one of the state of Florida’s premiere biker events.

After attending a Central Florida motorcycle event in 2005, these city officials came home with the idea of hosting a similar event in their own town of New Port Richey which has the perfect location for such an event, located as ideas on the banks of the Pithlachascotee River and with Sims Park available for use as a venue for live music and food vendors and the downtown area filled with shops and restaurants within a convenient walking distance from the park that could be closed off to all traffic other than motorcycles, the layout of the town lent itself perfectly to host their own motorcycle event.

They asked the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce to be the event organizer and the group graciously agreed and formed a committeeto oversee the organization and workings of the 1st Cotee River Bike Fest that was held in October of 2005.

Each year, the Cotee River Bike Fest is held during October, a week before Biketoberfest in Daytona is held, so that motorcyclist enthusiasts coming to Florida for that even will have a chance to vist the West Coast and enjoy all that it has to offer before attending the next event.

Since its beginning, the Cotee River Bike Fest has grown into an event lasting three days that has an average of over 30,000 motorcycles in attendance during the event. The event offers many activities including: a Sheriff Escorted Motorcycle Ride, Bike Shows, a Sunday Service, and reallt too much more to list in detail.

This Florida motorcycle event has live musical entertainment that has always been a huge hit with the crowds including two stages featuring live bands during the event. The Boulevard Stage is located downtown and features the best in local and regional bands whiles the Sims Park Amphitheatre hosts both regional and the headline band which in the past have included the world famous Iron Butterfly, Blue Oyster Cult and Marshall Tucker Bands.

Riding Into History Motorcycle Rally in Florida May 10, 2010

The 11th Annual Riding Into History motorcycle rally in Florida is one of America’s premier motorcycle events. This celebration of motorcycles and their riders will return to the World Golf Village near St. Augustine, Florida on Saturday, May 10, 2010 with famed author and motorcycle traveler Clement Salvadori as the Grand Marshal.

Among the many entertaining activities that the event will offer there will be Charity Rides, a Concours d’Elegance, the Biker’s Ball and the Historic Ride with proceeds from Riding Into History going to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

The event is presented by Riding Into History Inc., a 501(c)3 charity organization consisting of volunteer members from several motorcycle organizations led by the BMW Motorcycle Owners of Northeast Florida (BMWNEF) and the Historic Motorcycle Society (HMS).

The Concours should have between 300 and 400 antique, vintage and classic motorcycles from all over the country to enter, which will include and feature the Great Bikes of Great Britain. Thousands of participants and spectators are once again expected to enjoy Riding Into History Motorcycle Rally in Florida which also includes, exhibitors, entertainment, clubs and a variety of food.

Admission to the event is still only $10 at the gate for the Concours. Various ticket packages are available for the Biker’s Ball and the Charity Rides.

Craig Vetter, acclaimed Motorcycle Hall of Fame member and designer will present seminars at 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM on Saturday. Admission will be free to these audio-visual presentation which will be held at the "Vetter Theater."

Don Bradley, an internationally known motorcycle artist will once again provide the original artwork for the event's official posterswhich have become collectors’ items. Posters, t-shirts and other items are to be made available at both RidingIntoHistory.org as well as at the event.

The media sponsors are RoadBike and American Iron magazines. Riding Into History Motorcycle Rally in Florida is an AMA sanctioned event.

This is the 4th ANNUAL POKER RUN that has been held for the benefit of the American Cancer Society. The RELAY for LIFE POKER RUN is hosted by Hunter’s Creek Motorcycle Association & Happy Camper’s Team.

The fee to ride is $15 per person and $10 per extra hand. The price includes a continental breakfast at the registration, water at the 2nd stop of the run and lunch after the ride.

And there is other fun to be had on the motorcycle as well like a great Raffle and a 50/50 at the post ride lunch.

Biketoberfest Daytona Beach, Florida

If you missed Daytona Beach Bike Week last spring, Biketoberfest Daytona Beach, Florida October 14 to 17, 2010, will afford you chance to visit lovely Daytona Beach Florida and get your fill of biker babes and fun events before the year draws to a close!



The fall Daytona rally usually hosts fewer bikers than the gigantic Daytona Beach Bike Week but some actually prefer it because there is not as much traffic and the crowds are smaller.

The weather at Daytona Beach during the rally has historically been sunny and yet at other times cooler temperatures were in evidence, so participants should pack appropriate clothing and be ready for a variety of conditions.

Fun to be Had at Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach, Florida

Watching the races at the Daytona International Speedway has been a big event over the years but as time passed and popularity of the Florida motorcycle event grew, Daytona Bike Week events has spread to neighboring towns to the point that there is now much more to do in addition to watching the races and of course Bruce Rossmeyers Destination Daytona provides of the entertainment, attractions, events, and vendors that you find at any major rally of this size.

Count on the famous biker bars to have special entertainment during Biketoberfest Daytona Beach, Florida that are advertised on their individual websites. The TNRide Motorcycle Ride for Charity in Florida is a leisurely family ride through Volusia County, Florida to raise money for TNR programs of West Volusia County. All registered participants in this charitable Florida motorcycle event are eligible for breakfast, lunch and to win the raffle prizes.

The motorcycle ride is scheduled to take place on March 27, 2010 and will both start and end at the Orange City Public Library located at 148 Albertus Way, Orange City, Florida 32763.

The River City Kickstart Jacksonville Florida Motorcycle Event is our way of kicking off summer the right way. Tune your carbs and start greasing those chain because on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010 we will be kicking off the motorcycle event of the summer here in Jacksonville, FL.

Bring out your garage built hardtails, bobbers, rat rods and custom motorcycles. Here's your shot to show the city of Jacksonville and her visitors what riding on two wheels is all about.

It's only $3 for contest entry and we have a lot of prizes. But don't be fooled, this isn't your typical custom motorcycle show; we want to see your rust, tarnish and grease! This will be the show to end all shows for all the garage built motorcycles out there.

You will want to keep your $80,000 bike parked and covered for this one. Biltwell Inc. is the sponsor of the River City Kickstart Jacksonville Florida Motorcycle Event, as well as many local companies including, Strata, Wolfgang, Crown Skateboards, Burro Bags and Dos Gatos.

Otto's Prime8 Memorial Poker Run in Palm Harbor Florida

Please make plans to attend Otto's Prime8 Memorial Poker Run in Palm Harbor, Florida on June 11, 2011 that is being presented by The Suncoast Primate Sanctuary in memory of Otto, a Western Silverback Lowland Gorilla.


Otto, the gorilla, was found very ill as an infant and was going to be euthanized until Bob and Mae Noell went to save Otto and took him to their veterinarian. His illness was diagnosed as Septic Arthritis and Tuberculosis. After extensive care, Otto survived and lived out his life and became a celebrity after appearing in an American Tourister Luggage magazine ad. Otto passed away at the age of 42 in 2007.

This Florida motorcycle poker run is in memory of Otto to bring awareness and raise funds for a million dollar Resource Center. In addition to the Poker Run, the Sanctuary will be hosting a Family Fun Day for families who do not wish to participate in the motorcycle event. The festivities of the day will include food, drinks, games, music, and more!
