WALTER REICHRATH MOTORCYCLE POKER RUN

by Alissa Reichrath
(Murphysboro, Illinois)

THE FIRST ANNUAL WALTER REICHRATH MOTORCYCLE POKER RUN has been organized to take place on August 1, 2009 in Murphysboro Illinois (IL) to raise funds for Walter who is a 50 year old that has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. He is currently undergoing treatment in St. Louis Missouri to increase his quality of life and make him as comfortable as possible. We all know how expensive medical treatment can be and we counting on support for this Illinois motorcycle run can help ease this burden.

Before being diagnosed with this illness, Walter was an over the road truck driver that paid him a very health salary but is now too sick to earn more than a portion of his previous salary. Once Walter had to be absent from his job on medical leave for a length of time his employer was forced to terminate him which also cancelled both his health and life insurance. He was offered the option of participating in the cobra plan but the cost is prohibitive at the price of $887 a month which is close to what he clears in three weeks!

Walter is married and his wife is now working two jobs in order to try and make ends meet to keep the family going. But with no health insurance now they are in a financial "pickle" and need your help.

DATE AND LOCATION OF MOTORCYCLE POKER RUN

Please join us at the first annual Walter Reichrath motorcycle poker fun on August 1, 2009 at 8am at Highway 127 Bar in Murphysboro Illinois to show your support for Walter in his fight against cancer. Please help us spread the word to those that may be looking for a fun motorcycle rally or poker run in Illinois to attend on that date. Their support is needed and will be greatly appreciated. Walter and his family look forward to seeing you all there.

This event was posted on Strike Lightning Motorcycle Rally Calendar on May 19, 2009.
