is the exhaust system you are looking for, does both front & rear exhaust pipes run down the same or does it run one on the right & one on the left side of the bike. I have seen them run both ways, what I have run down one side. looking at the bike from the rear the exhaust pipes are on the right side. I just happen to think about that, ill be more than glad to ask any other questions.

a 1998 IS STILL a 80 cu.in. 1430 evo so here's what i have to offer, The exhaust system i have is off a 1996 heritage softail classic with the 80 cu.in. 1430 evo. I know that I GOT A SET OF USED HEAD PIPES WITH SHIELDS , A BLACK MOUNTING BRACKETS,AS FOR MUFFLERS ARE A SET OF STOCK ONES THAT HAS THE FISH FINES, AND I HAVE A SET OF SLASH CUT SHORTS WITH HARLEY DAVIDSON ENBLOSTED ON THEM SOME LITE SCRECHES ON THE BOTTOM SIDE OF THEM. I THINK THAT ALL OF THIS WILL ENTER CHANGE BETWEEN THE TWO BIKES. NOW YOU ARE DOING THE SAME THING THAT I DID A FEW YEARS AGO WITH MY HERITAGE CLASSIC WHEN I WAS PUTTING IT BACK STOCK. BUT DONT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, UNLESS YOU KNOW YOURSELF THAT THEY WILL CHANGE OUT. IT DOES NOT HAVE THE HEAD FLANGES OR GASKETS ON THE HEAD PIPES.FOR MORE INFO.
