It didn't run when I bought it about a year ago. All I got was a burp so I figured it was just neglected. I had to replace the regulator,coil and have the carb done after sealing the tank. During the time it would backfire my buddy said it was a stuck valve, so I took the top end off. No problem there. The ignition module was the culprit. My guess is the regulator was cranking about 15 plus volts and fried it.


I have gone over this bike from almost top to bottom as I've done over the years to my 1963 Triumph 500c. Right now it is in the living room out of the cold and I can't wait to coast it out the door and go for a ride in the spring once the yard dries up enough to make it to the road.
