Hot Pink Nautical Shooting Star Tattoo I Got Because I Was Really Bored...
My Tattoo Picture
My hot pink nautical star tattoo design is located in the center of my back tucked in between my shoulder blades. It is actually not that big. It is average in size and in perfect proportion to the size of my back.
As you can see, it is a rosy shade of pink with black outlines and shading.
FROM THE WEBMASTERI really like the nautical star tattoo done in pink for a girl. The star design alone would look super. But the trailing swirls and polka dots almost give it a shooting star effect that is really unusual as well as attractive. The scrolling that was added makes the otherwise stark image very feminine, especially with the pink and black color combination of the ink.
For those who might not be aware, the history of nautical star tattoos is very interesting. Long ago sailors displayed this and the occasional anchor tattoo in deference to their jobs.
The reason that stars were important to ships' captains is that they relied on them for navigational purposes. Later the star pattern was picked up for use on compasses where the longer points of the star indicated the directions of due North, South, East and West with the shorter points indicating the directions that were in between.
