1969 Triumph Trophy 500 for Sale

1969 Triumph Trophy 500cc Twin Motorcycle

1969 Triumph Trophy 500cc Twin Motorcycle

The 1969 Triumph Trophy 500 for Sale was my father's motorcycle. It's a 1969 Triumph Trophy 500cc Twin that he bought bought it in 1971, I think. I know that it was bought before 1973. Anyway, It's an old 1969 Triumph 500 Trophy Twin that he put in the garage about 25 years ago every now and then he would roll it out to work on it.

The motorcycle did enter the garage under its own power but I remember something mentioned about a problem with coils, magneto, or some electrical issue that it had that would cause it to just quit and then if you waited a little while it would crank right up and run fine.

The problem seemed almost like a vapor lock. I remember that As a kid, my dad would let me ride it around the block and I have never ridden a bike so light and nicely balanced.

It was an absolute dream to ride. I've owned and operated Japanese sport bikes most of my life, and they don't hold a candle to how nimble the 1969 Triumph Trophy 500 for Sale is. The last time I rode the Triumph Trophy for sale was in 1985 or 1986.

It's an all original, numbers matching motorcycle. The Triumph motorcycle's frame number is T100CH66** (I’m leaving the last two digits off for security purposes) and it is showing 5,200 original miles.

Heck, the bike still has the original tires, brakes and everything except the coils, the battery and spark plugs. The engine turns over nicely and the transmission is in working order easily taking you through all 4 gears.

It’s my understanding that the T100C is a more rare motorcycle than the other 500 Model Triumph's. This bike has a genuine T100C engine bash plate, folding footrests, small headlight, alloy guards and a twin leading shoe front brake etc.

I had dreams of restoring the motorcycle in my fathers' memory, but tough financial times have forced my hand and I've had to rethink my vision and adjust priorities. I'm looking for someone who wants, and would enjoy getting the 1969 Triumph Trophy 500 for Sale back on the road.

I'm not looking for someone to part it out in pieces. I want my dream of getting my dad's bike back on the road, but it doesn't look like it the person who manages that will be me.

Whoever buys the bike I would like to stay in contact with them, so I can see my dream come to fruition.

The motorcycle is located in Olympia Washington and I'm asking $2,450 for this piece of history with all reasonable offers considered.

I have more photos and those who are seriously interested send me their questions and contact information in the space below provided by Strike Lightning for listing Used Motorcycles for Sale and I will get back with you as soon as possible.

Strike Lightning would also encourage bikers to submit a review of the 1969 Triumph Trophy 500 for Sale to help potential buyers make informed decisions and to benefit the biker community as a whole.

Value of Daytona SS

My 69 Daytona Super Sports is purple with 6100 miles and I am think ing I might take $2,600 for it. Nearly all original and unrestored but a good example to be ridden every day with minimal tlc.

Trophy 500
by: Mike

I have an opportunity to buy back a Trophy 500 that I bought new in 1970. It's all original, runs well, purple color and has been garaged by the airplane mechanic that owns it. The old Triumph has 3,500 original miles on it and I would love to hear some suggestions on what kind of price I should offer for it. I would like to clean it up and run it through vintage motorcycle shows.
