Early 1960'S Honda 50 for sale by owner
The owner is not sure what model of old Honda motorcycle this is. Maybe you can email us and fill us in?
The motorcycle has the ENGINE MOUNTED ON THE SIDE OF
REAR WHEEL. Have you ever seen another like it? Well, you probably won't find another one in DEAD MINT
condition like this one! All the information he has on the bike is that he was told that it was a PUP and the family he got it from said their son brought it back from Japan in the 1960's. Nobody rode it after that. This vintage Honda has
ALWAYS been stored indoors and appears in near NEW condition.
If you want pictures I can e mail some to you.
If you can help identify the old Honda, give me a call or write or send an email. Here's how you can catch up with the owner.

THE PERFECT VINTAGE BIKE
Vintage bikes in good condition are becoming increasingly rare as they have become valuable collectibles. Does anybody remember the stories we've all heard about somebody finding an antique Harley Davidson in mint condition that was covered in hay out in an old barn? Those tales are fun to tell, just don't count on finding hidden treasure hunting in chicken coops. It's much more likely that you will find what your wife will call a hunk of junk that has potential. Accept that this project is going to either take you lots of time and effort or it's going to cost a fortune.
THE ROOM
A motorcycle in its completed state does not have a huge footprint. That's pretty obvious. You could probably fit about a half dozen of them in your living room without scratching the paint or chrome. However, if you remove the sheet metal and accessories alone, you can see that this is going to require floor space. Get into the engine and the nuts and bolts of the operation alone can fill up a carport in the blink of an eye! Before you begin your restoration project, be certain you enough area to spread out your vintage motorcycle parts to avoid damage to them. Adequate lighting and electrical outlets are a necessity. For the smaller bits and pieces, refrigerator containers with lids work great. Don't forget to label your bins, boxes and containers. This easy, cheap system will save you hours of confusion!
VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE REPAIR RESOURCES
Whether you will be restoring antiques or customizing current models, the need for a sympathetic ear will be appreciated at some point. Clubs that focus on the repair of vintage motorcycles or forums where restoration enthusiasts gather will prove invaluable in finding vintage motorcycle parts and for recommending reading material. You might even catch a break and get a lead on an antique motorcycle for sale!
