1972 Harley Davidson Shovelhead

I saw the 1972 Harley Shovelhead pictures on ebay, thinking someone would out-bid me by far but I put a bid in anyway. I was shocked to see that I was the highest bidder! Then a few days later this big wooden box shows up and (just like you'd see in a cartoon), the sides fell open and there this classy beauty sat!

I took about 100 pounds of chrome off that day! It's been a dependable ride but can be temperamental at times which has left my mechanic scratching his head more then once!

I’ve ridden it on many rally trips, to swap meets and bike shows in the few years.

It’s won three trophies! One trophy was for placing 1st in "Classics" and two were for placing 2nd in "Vintage class" for people’s choice.

I’ve sure enjoyed every mile and haven't missed a Lone star Rally in Galveston yet!

I plan on making it to many more rallies and I'm going to Sturgis this year!
