The blue shading of the ink ranges from a pale, powder blue that is very near white to a royal or indigo blue near the edges of the outline of the butterfly’s wings. If the shading we have used is not to your liking, you can make the decision whether to take it in a more colorful direction or stay in the same style, but change the coloring. You could get the same effect using rose colored ink or even shades of purple.

The butterfly tattoo design could be reduced or enlarged according to where on your body you would like to wear it. Make it smaller to use as a wrist tattoo or larger for an upper arm or lower back tattoo.

The butterfly is a combination of romantic and tribal imagery with heart shapes worked into the intricate scrolls of all four horned wings. The body of the insect is suggested rather than drawn in detail leaving the viewer to imagine their own ideas of what might lie in the middle.
