Honda CB1000 Custom for Sale

by Jess
(Rye, NY)

Honda CB1000 Custom

Honda CB1000 Custom

The 1983 Honda CB1000 Custom for sale was only made for one year. The motorcycle runs and looks good, but there are a few cosmetics that could be improved if you happen to have the time to take care of them.

I currently do not have the time to do a complete restoration but it would make a fine bike for somebody who wanted to work on the paint. There is some pitting in the chrome finish on the forks and as with most vintage bikes, the paint has faded, etc.

The 1983 used Honda CB1000 Custom for sale has less than 10,000 orginal miles on the dial (so you can see how a custom paint job and replacing a few parts would get you a really nice bike).

It has the hi/lo range transmission and is shaft drive. The definition of hi/lo would be Hi for highway cruising and lo for stoplight to stoplight.

If you need some vintage Honda CB1000 parts, are looking for a vintage Honda motorcycle to restore or just want a day rider that not many other bikers have, this could be the bike for you. Asking price is $2,700.00 or you are welcome to contact me with your best offer. I can email you a picture of the 1983 Honda CB1000 Custom upon
request.

FROM THE WEBMASTER

Thanks for the Heads Up
by: Anonymous

Unfortunately there are more than a few of these thieves out there hoping that they can steal merchandise or money with their scams. I sell on Ebay and have been sent counterfeit money orders, cashiers checks and cash that was created using some kind of high tech printer that was very hard to identify as fake. For that reason, I accept paypal direct funds (no credit card payments) only and I keep waiting for the scum sucking lowlifes to figure out a way to cheat and steal using that.

The best way to stay a step ahead of online fraud is to post your experiences and do exactly what you did; report it to the authorities. Don't expect them to move very quickly though.

Not sold. Nearly scammed instead
by: Jess

Guess that I shoulda read the Fraud page here before now.
The check I received by mail had no return address on it. The corporate check itself was stolen from an oil compoany in Texas and drawn on a bank that has no branches close by. I thought it odd that anyone would buy a bike without seeing it or test riding it.
After much calling both the bank and the company, I contacted the FBI Internet Fraud site online and the oil companys investigative unit. The "Buyer" claimed to be a reverand and said that I could trust him. Then begged me to deposit the check and send him the money, when I said the bike was no longer for sale.
So the bike is still for sale.
BUT it will take either cash or US Postal Money Order to buy it.
